APPLE’S STUNNING NEW RED SPECIAL EDITION IPHONE
On Friday the 13th April, Australian consumers will have a chance to get their hands on the shiny new (PRODUCT)RED iPhone.
Participating in the PRODUCT RED programme since 2006, Apple has donated over A$200 Million to the lifesaving (RED) AIDS Charity, funding over 800 million days of life-saving ARV medication that prevents the transmission of HIV from mothers to their babies.
In Cupertino, California, Apple today announced iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus (PRODUCT)RED Special Edition, the new generation of iPhone in a stunning red finish. Both phones sport a beautiful glass enclosure, now in red, with a matching aluminium band and a sleek black front.
The special edition (PRODUCT)RED iPhone will be available to order online in select countries and regions tomorrow and in stores beginning Friday, 13 April.
Apple also introduced a new (PRODUCT)RED iPhone X Leather Folio, which will be available beginning tomorrow.
A portion of proceeds for all (PRODUCT)RED purchases go directly to Global Fund HIV/AIDS grants that provide testing, counselling, treatment and prevention programs with a specific focus on eliminating transmission of the virus from mothers to their babies.
Deborah Dugan, (RED)’s CEO commented:
Today’s announcement is further evidence of Apple’s leadership in and commitment to the AIDS fight since the beginning of (RED) in 2006,
GadgetNET says: It's refreshing to see a huge corporation like Apple doing good, and the RED iPhone looks pretty fabulous too. Win – Win.
