Denon Announce New Network AV Receivers
One of the world’s leading manufacturers of high-quality home entertainment products, Denon have just introduced two new Network AV Receivers that feature Dolby Atmos and DTS:X for the demanding home cinema enthusiast.
Following the recently introduced entry and mid class X series models, the new upper class AVR-X4200W and AVR-X3200W home theatre centres deliver outstanding feature sets and the finest Denon sound performance at the same time.
Most remarkably, both new AVRs already come with built-in Dolby Atmos, and are ready for the brand new immersive surround sound format DTS:X as well. This later feature just needs to be unlocked with a free-of-charge firmware update coming later this year.
All new Denon AVRs are equipped as standard with the latest HDMI version including full 4K Ultra HD support and HDCP 2.2 capability on all HDMI inputs, to make them completely future-proof.
While offering such an amazing and powerful set of next-generation features, the new X series models come with a unique Denon Eco mode which provides the ability to reduce overall power consumption and features an on-screen Eco Meter that lets you see the power consumption reduction effect if desired.

A truly versatile entertainer, the new AVR-X3200W delivers even more outstanding features and further tuned audio quality for demanding home cinema users looking for flexible custom installation options.
It features a power amplifier section with 180 Watts on all seven channels, to create a stunning cinema sound and powerful yet detailed music playback, which can be used to either experience one of the new 3D sound formats, or to bring the same or different audio signal to a second zone in another room.
To expand the audio experience even further, the AVR-X3200W is equipped with Dolby’s Atmos decoder and Dolby Surround upmixer to deliver captivating multi-dimensional sound through height speakers or Dolby Atmos enabled upfiring speakers.
Through simple connectivity, the AVR-X300W interfaces with your home network or music device through its built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi capabilities. This will then open up your living room to unlimited music source and playback options.
Luckily for music lovers, the AVR-X300W supports Apple AirPlay, network attached storage devices (NAS), Internet Radio and Spotify Connect. It also supports high resolution audio files like FLAC, AIFF or DSD allowing you to play back your latest tracks with impeccable sonic quality.
It features eight HDMI inputs, of which one is conveniently located at the front panel, and two HDMI outputs so you can enjoy a surround movie in the main room and a separate stereo program with video from a different source in another room.
The AVR-X3200W also boasts the Audyssey MultEQ XT room equalization program, including Audyssey Dynamic Volume and Dynamic EQ, to perfectly tailor the sound to the owner’s room characteristics giving you the most personalised sound possible.
The video section of the AVR-X300W hosts a set of advanced features, including compatibility with the latest HDCP 2.2 specification required for 4K Ultra HD copy-protected content. The AVR further supports full rate 4K Ultra HD video along with 4:4:4 Pure Color sub-sampling, HDR and BT.2020 pass-through.
It also features a powerful video processor to up-convert standard definition and high definition video sources to full rate 4K Ultra HD resolution, for the ultimate viewing experience.
Denon AVR-X4200W $2,799 RRP (Set to arrive in November)
Sharing some of the finest ingredients to lift audio performance, the AVR-X4200W is the premium AV receiver in its class. It resembles the Denon reference class AV Receivers visually, with its larger cabinet as well as the control buttons hidden behind the trap door.
Having all AVR-X3200W features on board, it comes with even more power at 200 Watts on all seven channels. All audio signals are delicately handled by the famous Denon D.D.S.C-HD (Dynamic Discrete Surround Circuit High Definition) and unique AL24 Processing Plus, for the ultimate in sound refinement supported by the use of high quality 192kHz / 32bit D/A Converters.
For jitter-free transmission, the AVR-X4200W comprises Denon’s Link HF Connection, which works perfectly when paired by a Denon supported Blu-ray Player. Coupled with a third HDMI output, the AVR-X4200W gives even more convenience in connecting multiple displays.
Thanks to its nine-channel processing capability, eleven speaker terminals and 13.2ch pre-out connections, the AVR-X4200W offers huge flexibility in multi-room and amp assignment options.
By adding an additional 2-channel power amplifier for example, it can run a big Dolby Atmos experience up to 5.1.4 or 7.1.2 configurations. And through a paid upgrade offer, the highly acclaimed Auro-3D sound processing engine can be added for an even better 3D sound experience.
Professional installers will greatly appreciate the fact that the AVR-X4200W comes with Audyssey MultEQ XT32 including Pro-calibration option, and LFC (Low Frequency Containment).
Setting up your Denon AV Receiver is quick and easy, thanks to Denon’s Setup Assitant which comes with the Quick Start Guide. Alongside this, and soon to be launched, is a new Denon AVR Remote App to conveniently keep control of all features.
The AVR-X4200W will be available in an elegant Premium Silver colour finish.
