JBL SPLASH OUT ON WATERPROOF BLUETOOTH SPEAKERS
JBL’s new adventure loving Bluetooth Speaker range delivers portable music wirelessly, wet or dry and in multiple eye-catching colours.
The company's Californian beach heritage has undoubtedly influenced this three strong new Bluetooth Speaker Range, which is perfectly suited for the Surfing Safari lifestyle. From the small but powerful Go 2, to the Grab and Go Clip 3 to the chunky bottle opener toting Xtreme 2, all promise long battery life, are waterproof, can be used as speakerphones and claim rich, powerful sound. All, of course, can be streamed to and controlled wirelessly from your Bluetooth device of choice.
The two smaller models are great value at $49.99 and $79.95 and will fit into any travel or beach bag. The bigger Xtreme 2 at $349.95 will have to go some way to justify that price, but it claims to be fully waterproof, pretty tough and go very loud, so maybe this is the ultimate beach party speaker. All three dumb or 'non-Smart' speakers with no Alexa or Google Assistant so thankfully no shouting on the beach. We wouldn't really expect the two cheaper models to have this functionality, but the Xtreme 2 is priced in an area of hot and smart competition, not the least from JBL's own Link voice-activated range.
Marcus Fry, Brand Activation Director of AUNZ at HARMAN told GadgetNET:
