KOGAN RELEASES FOUR CHEAP SMART TVS

Stack ‘em high, sell ‘em low.

Kogan knows how to move truckloads of tellys in triple quick time. The latest offering of four new smart TVs follows the brand’s sales agenda to a tee.

Prices are keen. Very keen. You’ll pony up just $299 for the 32-inch set, $439 for one with a 43-inch screen, $499 buys a 49-inch model, and $599 puts a 55-inch TV in your living room.

Keen pricing bolstered by smart features ensures the Koganites will move plenty of these TVs.

One of the ‘smart’ features sure to find favour with price-conscious consumers is ‘mirroring’. This doesn’t mean there’s a button that turns these screens into a bathroom mirror.

What it does allow is for the content stored in your mobile phone to display on these screens without requiring an interconnect cable. Please note this feature only works with compatible Android and Windows 10 devices. iPhone owners need to look at alternative options.

The four new Kogan TVs have Wi-Fi connectivity and steamers can also access Netflix, YouTube and Catch Up TV.

The admirably named Sergly Bobrovnychyy, Kogan’s erstwhile product manager is crowing about the new TVs. He said:

“High quality Smart televisions don’t need to come with a high price tag.”

Hisense and TCL can attest to this sales philosophy as well.

There’s no denying the appeal of the latest Kogan TVs. The 55-inch model uses an LG panel, is a 4K Ultra HD set with HDR and a Linux operating system.

The same applies to the 49 and 43-inch models. The four Kogan smart TVs each have a built-in PVR and each offers Wi-Fi and LAN connectivity.

The entry-level model uses a BOE panel and has a resolution of 1366x768 pixels.
