Philips TVs Return to Specialist Dealers

Westan, responsible for distributing brands such as Epson, Samsung, Q Acoustics and many more in Australia have been appointed distribution rights to Philips branded consumer TVs.

Through their existing network of specialist audio-visual retail outlets, Westan will be focused on growing the market share for Philips TVs in these channels.

Michael Carvosso, Commercial Manager ANZ for Westan told StereoNET:

With products available from 32” to 65” across three ranges and features that include Smart TV and UHD we believe we will be able to reach a wide segment of the domestic and commercial market.

Immediately announced were two new models from Philips. The 58" 8500 series ultra slim 4K Ultra HD LED TV ($2699 RRP) and comes with a 3-year in-home warranty, as well as the more affordable 50" 6500 series Slim Smart Full HD LED TV.

Carvosso continued:

Philips TV perfectly compliment the Professional Signage range of Philips screens that Westan took on in 2013 and the combined offer will make it much easier for us to service the commercial channel.

We look forward to the return of Philips to the TV market, and taking a closer look at the upcoming product releases in more detail.
