SOUNDCAST LAUNCH, OUTDOOR SPEAKERS REDEFINED
Soundcast is an award-winning brand of high-performance Bluetooth speakers that relaunched in Australia this week.
The launch event at Small Bar, Crows Nest Sydney attracted an intimate gathering of press and Australia's specialist retailers.
Formalities were kept short as attendees were kept suitably refreshed for an overview on the brand and what makes its Bluetooth speakers so special.
Soundcast's new range of VG speakers is spearheaded by the launch of the VG1 ($249 RRP), a fully waterproof and take anywhere portable Bluetooth speaker. Don't be fooled by its compact size; stunning audio performance belies its handheld form.
You can even sync two VG1 speakers together for dedicated left and right stereo playback with Bluetooth True Wireless Stereo.
At the other end of the range, the flagship VG7 ($1,399 RRP) is a rugged indoor and outdoor Bluetooth speaker that can do it all.
The VG7 is a speaker that adapts to you, not the other way around. Want to listen to music while relaxing at home? Use indoor mode for sound tailored to your place. Want to move to the patio? Press outdoor mode for custom open-air acoustics.
VG7 has been ergonomically designed to provide maximum comfort and balance while you're on the go and adapts to all applications. Whether it's in the backyard, camping or boating, take the VG7 wherever you go.
Three channels of Class-D amplification power the 7" long-throw woofer and four 3" full-range drivers in a stereo 360º array for immersive sound. The frequency response is specified as 55-20kHz (+/-3dB).
As the publisher of both GadgetNET and StereoNET, Marc can still be found buried deep in the review room auditioning everything from docks to soundbars, amplifiers and headphones. Marc is also the Event Director of the International HiFi Show.
