Steelseries Stratus Wireless Controller

Global gaming accessories giant, SteelSeries has taken the wraps of its Stratus wireless controller which targets console-style gameplay on iPads, iPhones and iPod touch running iOS7.

It will also slot seamlessly into a HD TV linked to Apple TV using AirPLay Mirroring from an iOS device with supported games.

The new Stratus has a familiar console-style ergonomic with a pressure-sensitive directional pad (D-pad), 4 pressure-sensitive action buttons and 4 pressure sensitive shoulder buttons. Onboard are also dual analog sticks, a dedicated pairing button for connection to iOS devices using Bluetooth. And to conserve power, there’s an on / off switch as well.

Battery life is said to be 10 hours on a full charge while charging time is said to be about two hours using a supplied USB connection cable.

The Stratus has a $129 RRP for more information
