NEW NESPRESSO LIMITED-EDITION SWISS ARMY KNIFE

It's hard not be a bit cynical about any attempt by Nestle to claim environmental credentials for anything, but Nespresso is the only coffee capsule company currently offering recycling facilities for used capsules.

In Switzerland, of course, the recycling system is fully established and for the last three years, Nespresso has collaborated with Swiss Icon Victorinox to produce limited edition knives with the side panels made from recycled Nespresso capsules.

Introducing the Pioneer Nespresso Dharkan Limited Edition 2018 “Original Swiss Army Knife” from Victorinox. Dharkan coffee ships in dark blue capsules, so the knife features dark-blue aluminium side panels made from the recovered metal. Victorinox themselves use 100% recycled steel in the production of the knives, as less energy is consumed in the processing stage when using this material. Given that one of these knives could easily outlast the owner, it does make the product pretty 'Green.'

The colouring of this knife is not the only detail that catches the eye; seven practical tools are included, including the evergreen 'taking stones out of horse hooves' spike. Victorinox claims durability and extreme resilience, due to the high material strength of the welds and blades, and the tried and tested mechanics. We tend to believe them.

GadgetNET says: Son, please note I want one!

Pioneer Nespresso Dharkan Limited Edition 2018 is available from July 2018 and sells for $119 RRP.
